2009 Ippi's Derby Rules: All participants/entrants 15 years and older MUST be carrying a valid fishing license; anyone not carrying a valid Massachusetts fishing license will be disqualified

Prizes: All money prizes distributed as: 10% of entrance goes toward restocking fund, then from remainder:

When there are 10 participants and less, WINNER TAKES ALL

When there are 11 participants and more, 3 winners:
1st: 50% of remaining cash
2nd: 35% of remaining cash
3rd: 15% of remaining cash

Annual Striper Derby - Land/Boat Rules:

Derby begins 9 am on May 1st and continues until Noon on Sep 30th; $20 entrance fee. There is a 3-day/ 72 hour waiting period prior to bringing in fish to be weighed. A 2-inch snip of the tail may be cut to prevent fish from being used again, or from being used for another Derby. If Ippi's is closed for weigh-in, please keep the fish & weigh it in next available day. All fish must be weighed-in by Noon on Sep 30th. Official Rules and Regulations displayed at Ippi's Bait & Tackle Shop. Winner of a tie determined by earlier time of weigh-in.

Fresh Water Derby Rules:

All fish must be weighed-In BEFORE stated end of derby time, each day. Fish MUST be ALIVE and AT LEAST legal size. The winner of a tie will be determined by the earlier time of the weigh-in

ALL DERBY ENTRANTS ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW ALL STATE AND FEDERAL FISHING LAWS; STATE AND/OR FEDERAL OFFICIALS MAY BE AT ANY, OR ALL, DERBIES

Be sure to note where scale is; weigh fish in as fast as possible. Bring a 5-gallon bucket so no fish has to die unnecessarily!

All fish MUST be at least legal size, and alive, to weigh in! Must register BEFORE Derby starts; $10 registration fee. 10% of total entry fees collected goes to Ippi's restocking fish fund; 1 prize per person. Participants must follow all Mass fishing laws including requirement for fishing license. See Ippi for more details. Derbies may be cancelled due to weather and/or ice conditions; anyone registered would receive refund if derby cancelled. Derby Winners are responsible for reporting earnings on their taxes.
