If not catching fish with your lure, change the contrast. Ippi says: "bright colors on bright days, dark colors on dark days". Don't forget, fish are looking up- the sky is the contrast color. 7/6/08

What has been stated: If the lines on a striper are solid; the bass is from the North (e.g Maine). If the lines are broken, the bass is from the South (e.g. South Caroline). Another name for a Striper is a Rock Bass; they can be found in rocky areas as well as non-rocky areas. 7/21/08

From The Old Farmers Almanac: Lightning kills an average of 67 people each year in the United States. July is usually the month with the most incidents. Lightning can strike as far as 10 miles away from a storm, so stay indoors for at least 30 minutes after one has passed. 7/27/08
