Sadie was adopted in September, 2004; we believe she was born in March 2004. She was found, abandoned, in Tennessee; she was underweight and infested with ticks, fleas and worms. It was easy to see she had been beaten prior to being abandoned; when we first adopted her, we couldn't pat her on the head, she was so afraid of being hit. We wanted Sadie to be comfortable around people and other dogs, so we went to school with her. She is a 'shop dog' and is friendly, so long as customers are friendly and stay on the correct side of the counter. Please do NOT attempt to come behind the counter or reach across the counter, without talking to Ippi first; Sadie & Ippi don't like anyone doing that. When she doesn't want people to pat her or give her treats, she either goes in her tent or stays away from the counter; please respect her request for privacy. Sadie has many serious allergies and has had to receive medical treatment due to them; please do not give her anything to eat except the treats that Ippi puts out for Sadie. Sadie attends many derbies, but can be protective of Ippi at times. Same as with other dogs that are not your own, Please do NOT attempt to play rough with Sadie or pat her when she is growling or barking. Sadie enjoys going to dog parks, riding in boats, relaxing at home, and going everywhere Ippi & Nancy go!
